Known for colorful nightlife and traditional English seaside pursuits, Brighton and nearby Hove are the closest beach resorts to London, making them popular end points for classic car runs from the capital. Running along the beachfront is the world’s oldest operating electric train, ending by Brighton Pier. A new addition, the Brighton Wheel is right by the pier, while one of its most famous attractions is the Royal Pavilion, a former royal retreat built in Indian style.

Lively place, excellent beach front with loads to do, great places to eat and drink. Everything was in easy walking distance.
Felt very safe, never saw any crime or drunken aggressive behaviour. Everyone was friendly and easy going.
I liked it more and more the more time I was there.
We ate out each night and so much variety from fast food at Shelter Hall, although I sent my food back as it wasn't nice through to high end steak at The Coal Shed which was expensive but beautiful food and great staff. Giggling Squid was also a highlight. Gorgeous food, very lovely staff and reasonably priced.
Loads of places to shop and The Lanes is an experience in itself browsing the narrow twisting lanes with individual eclectic shops.
As you get off the train it doesn't give a great first impression, it looks a bit run down and grubby but as you get towards Hove it gets better and the seafront is amazing.
We went on i360 and that was great if not a little expensive for what was a very short time, 20mins start to finish at £37, glad we did it but wouldn't do it again.

The facade of Selina Hotel is a little deceiving.
The facade of Selina Hotel is a little deceiving. It is a very nice reception area with some interesting plants and a place to sit and enjoy a coffee or tea. The rooms small but clean and very comfortable beds. We had a nice view from the room. The radiator was a bit too warm and could've been adjusted but the other was switched off. Lucky with the weather which made a difference to getting around. It was a great location and plenty of clvariety at Preston Street for the many restaurants to choose from

It was a good choice for an early spring visit when the weather was cool. We were able to walk miles along the prom and paths at the foot of the cliffs. The town is lively and the Royal Pavilion well worth visiting. The bus service was excellent and we were able to visit other towns along the coast. There was a wide choice of resturants.

Brighton is wonderful! Lots to see and do. A variety of cafes, bars, restaurants to go to. So much choice.
I chose to eat at a wondeful Thai restaurant cakes Siam Siam. I chose vegetable tempura and then chicken massamam curry with sticky rice. It was incredible.
Also Artists Open Houses is on during the month of May, all around Brighton and surrounding areas. I visited 6 open house locations and saw and wonderful arts and crafts.
Beautiful architecture, wonderful old buildings.
A 1 night stay is not enough. I still haven't seen so much!

Love Brighton for long walks and shopping with plenty of places to eat & drink, like a lot of places post Covid it can be a bit scruffy and run down in places with empty shops but all the staff we came across were great, obviously gets a bit lively at times but the council have security patrols walking around during the day and evenings so feels safer than some places we've been.

It's just great to walk around. The Pavilion is a must.
It's just great to walk around. The Pavilion is a must. And if the weather's nice, visit Rottingdean! It's a lovely village on the edge of the city. Strangely the city tour bus doesn't go there. But the bus services are generally excellent and you can explore East Sussex and the coast. No buses to Arundel or Petworth to the west, Brighton is missing a trick there.

Need somewhere to stay in Brighton for work that was affordable. We read reviews and decided to go for it. Very cheap for a hotel a short way from the beach. Yes the decor was a bit dated, but these hotels did not have a good year last year with no income! Our room was spotless bed comfy. Yes we shared a toilet but only with one other room. It was spotless. The hotel was very quiet at night no disturbance at all. Breakfast continental and adequate. Would stay again!
We loved the modern interior, new kitchen, excellent location near to all the shops and the beach front, 24 hr car park nearby - Regency Car park, our hosts asking us if we are happy with our apartment and is there anything else we may need to make our stay more comfortable on day 1, great communication leading up to our stay. The apartment had everything needed for a short stay in Brighton and plenty of space unlike some hotel rooms. 10/10 from us thank you
Everything, super friendly & helpful hosts, our welcome basket was amazing and the extra gifts give in the week were such a surprise. The place is clean, comfortable & so well equipped, with kitchen utensils & bathroom toiletries. Our hosts told us about the buses, which run so frequently to Brighton & Saltdean, the nearest beach for swimming, which is the best way to reach both destinations. We loved our week's stay & will return at somepoint 😍
we have stayed at the hotel many times in the past
The room we were allocated was fantastic one of the best rooms my wife and I have stayed in not just in this hotel but any hotel we have been too
the views the extra large bed was awesome
The concierge reception and staff made us feel so welcome and made the trip more enjoyable
Breakfast was very good too
We will be back in September
everything about this boutique hotel is amazing. I’ve never seen staff so personable, friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile. They helped us get our luggage downstairs to our room, recommended restaurants, served a great breakfast and more. our room was very comfortable as were the beds. in a month of staying in hotels in England, both large and small, this was by far my favorite.
We stayed for 2 nights, and this is the cheapest hotel we found. Good value for money. very clean, water always stocked in fridge (which we are glad to know there is a small fridge), floors are not carpeted which I prefer. very close to the beach and restaurants. very friendly staff! even asked us if we need anything more upon checking out.
would stay here again if we go back to brighton.
The room was nice and spacious. The amenities were also nice, I really appreciate that they had a french press for coffee.
I booked this hotel specifically because it was one of the few with a gym. Really enjoyed the gym, it's not a particularly big one, but it was very clean and generally quiet.
The location is also very good, very close to the station and to the center.
A hidden gem! It’s a small hotel near the centre of Brighton. The hotel is completely different from what I’ve known from other hotels and that’s what makes it great. They used a lot of bright colours and art. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is the best: there are a lot of options (even vegan) and tastes delicious.
Everything was expected. The staff were helpful and friendly.
For me the room was exceptionally clean. The bed was firm, which was great. Modern clean bathroom with clean towels.
Now the breakfast! Its delivered to your room and and is one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had! I look forward to staying again:-)
The hotel was located right on the beach and near the heart of Brighton, making it easy to access all the sights of Brighton while having food and entertainment nearby. Aside from the location, the staff was wonderful, and the breakfast was top notch. The bar service staff working in the evening were also great.
Great location, just down the road from the pier and beach area with nice cafes and restaurants. Nice breakfast and lovely owner who treated us well and spoke with us at breakfast. The bed was massive and very comfortable. The room was clean and tidy and had chocolates and peanuts awaiting us.
We needed 3 single beds in same room which isn’t easy to find.
Location was away from the centre of Brighton - Hove beach was quiet compared to Brighton beach which was packed.
The hotel doesn’t do breakfast but there are great places to eat nearby. The other meals at the hotel were great.
The location was great. Close to the beach and other attractions including dining. The complementary breakfast each morning was a great way to start the day before heading out exploring. Staff was very friendly and helpful in guiding us to the best places in the area.
Best location in Brighton on seafront and close to the Lanes. Large outdoor seating area with bar and food facilities. Hotel and rooms clean and comfy and rooms a good size with all you need. Have stayed here year on year. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Great location. 5 min walk from the beach. Shops and restaurants nearby. Fairly quiet, bar an incident which wasn't the hotels fault (see negatives). Room was quite spacious and had four windows.
